A Message from the Board Chair
We also strongly believe and support the tenet that health is a basic human right, regardless of socio-economic status, race/ethnicity, gender identity, and sexual orientation. Scientific researchers have proven time and again that members of our communities are victims of disparities in access to health care, mental health and social services, job training, and employment opportunities. Many of us in the TGLBQ community have been denied access to culturally competent care and other human rights as a result of discrimination, stigma, and oppression. Thanks to the visionary founders of T.H.E, a dedicated Board of Directors, hard-working staff and tireless volunteers, progress is being made in bringing down the barriers that deny our rights to physical and mental health and social well-being. However, much remains to be accomplished, and we need your help to achieve:
We are all members of the same family…….the human family. We invite and welcome you to join our family today. Please contact us to discuss how you can help, or how we may be of assistance to you. Thank you, Toni Collins |
